How to properly create files
In order to properly create a file for a banner, you should follow few simple steps.
1. Graphic file
The first thing to do is to create an Illustrator or Indesign file, which shall be the size you need plus 5mm bleed. In case your banner needs eyelets, bear in mind that they shall be placed 2cm from the cut and each hole has a 2cm diameter: therefore, pay attention not to put important texts and graphic designs where holes will be made!
Pay attention to the edges
Pay attention to the area that shall be kept empty in order for eyelets to be placed on the banner. Keep an internal edge of at least 3cm, where you may place logos, texts or other important graphic elements so that they are not punched.Checklist
Always remember that your file has to comply with the following features that apply to every file:
- 1:1 scale and 5mm bleed for each side
- CMYK colour model
- High-quality PDF
- Images resolution: 300ppi
- Always check the internal security margins.
