How to properly create files
If you want to print a plate, first of all choose the size and then download the template and follow the instructions. You will find templates with standard sizes, but you can also create your custom size.
1. Graphic file
If your size is the same as that of our template, download the template and enter your graphic designs. If, on the other hand, you need a custom size, create a two-layer file on Illustrator: one layer will be for the graphic design, while the other one will be for the shape (with either sharp or rounded corners) as well as holes – if any –, and shall be called CUT. Here you shall enter the cut path with the following parameters: C 0 M 100 Y 100 K 0 and finally set it up as Spot Color.
Pay attention to the edges
The holes for the eyelets shall have a 0.9cm diameter and shall be placed at least 2cm away from exterior edges. Don’t forget to add bleed: in other words, remember to place graphic designs 5mm over the cut line. If you choose holes but you don’t add them to the file, we will deal with their creation, as indicated.
Checklist
Always remember that your file has to comply with the following features that apply to every file:
- 1:1 scale and 5mm bleed for each side
- CMYK colour model
- High-quality PDF
- Images resolution: 300ppi
- Always check the internal security margins.
